empaathic:

(oo h yes yes /yes/)

3 books

(i’m sad to say i haven’t read much good science fiction so these are not space related novels specifically— also because all our books are in boxes still so i can’t browse for ideas)

  • perelandra by c.s. lewis (i haven’t finished it yet but it’s lewis)
  • notes from the tilt-a-whirl by n.d. wilson (not a space book, but a book about wonder, and thus very important philosophy for space adventures)
  • crush (poetry) by richard siken, particularly “snow and dirty rain”

3 songs/artists

  • CLOUD CULT
  • "holocene" by bon iver
  • "arabella" by arctic monkeys

1 movie

  • serenity

Ah, thank you! :D I will listen to those songs right away and add the books to my reading list. ^_^ (and I have seen Serenity and it makes me sad)

That’s so exciting! And yeah, I’m pretty sure I have it enabled but let me know if I don’t.

Yeah, it’s not there. I can send you fan mail but there’s no “ask”.

Kip needs to enable her ask box

Yes! I am going to the Czech Republic next year! If, that is, finances work out. It’s not a done deal yet. But it’s hopeful at least.

ARGH. So my suspicions have been confirmed… it looks like I can’t trust my uncle not to coerce me into doing things I don’t want to do. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt but I had the feeling all along that he would use coercive measures the minute I stopped playing along.

It’s a frickin’ BIBLE STUDY. I am not going to gain a damned thing from it if I’m coerced into attending against my will. Threatening to kick me out of his house if I don’t attend. Yes, great way to be graceful and loving. Such Jesus. Much Christian.

I am so tired of this man. I’m an adult, okay, just because I’m living in your house doesn’t give you the right to make me do whatever you want.
